Our General English courses are designed for students from non-English speaking backgrounds from Starter to Advanced levels.

Studying the General English at Lawson College Australia

These programs are tailored to develop students skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening, preparing them for future employment opportunities or further studies.

We offer courses in 10-week blocks which are:
  • Starter
  • Elementary
  • Pre-Intermediate
  • Intermediate
  • Upper-Intermediate
  • Advanced

Each course is structured as a 10-week block. Students progress to the next level based on satisfactory completion of a block of study.

In order to progress the students, need to submit their assessments, attend a minimum of 20 hours per week of classes and actively participate in the group activities.

Individual learning plans may be offered to the students who require extra support.

Assessments may be a combination of written and spoken assignments, tests and practical application projects.

You will learn to:

  • Communicate with confidence in English
  • Research and reference
  • Study independently
  • Develop your grammar and vocabulary
  • Synthesise ideas through activities from the classroom and through excursions.
