This program is suitable for students who are new to the OET test and  needs in depth knowledge and skills. This is suitable for Beginners and Intermediate learners.

Program:

This is a specialized non-AQF occupational preparatory program designed for those healthcare professionals who require an advanced level of English speaking, listening, reading and writing skills to manage and care for their clients and patients in hospitals, pharmacies, private clinics, nursing homes or even providing home care.

This occupational preparatory program identifies the English language needs of the healthcare professionals who would further like to pursue their professional qualifications and registration in the occupation of :

  • Nursing
  • Medicine
  • Dentistry
  • Physiotherapy
  • Optometry
  • Radiography
  • Pharmacy,
  • Speech Pathology
  • Occupational Therapy

This program will develop your ability to communicate effectively in a demanding healthcare environment.

Outcomes are designed to support overseas trained healthcare professionals who wish to pursue their education or career in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore or any other country.

    Visits and lectures from Australian healthcare professionals e.g. Registered Nurses
  • OET (Occupational English Test) preparation for healthcare professionals
  • Focus on 4 macro skills of Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking
  • Developing accurate communication skills in clinical settings
  • Skills in writing professional documents
  • Developing skills in reading and comprehending complex documents
  • Improving speaking & listening skills in variety of professional environment
  • Practice Mock Tests to improve performance

WEEKS 11 to 12 MOCK TEST – CHALLENGE

Entry Criteria:

  • Overseas registered healthcare professional e.g. nurse, doctor, physio, dentist or other
  • At least 6 months work experience in the related profession
  • Completed the professional qualification with English as a medium of instruction
  • Must be over 18 years of age

Benefits:

  • You may be eligible to apply for registration with various healthcare boards & councils e.g. AHPRA, NZ Nursing council, NMBA etc.
  • May pursue further studies in Healthcare e.g. Bridging Program or a Degree.
